FTL Equipment
Most FTL freight moves in one of two trailer types. Here is what each can carry, how each is spec'd, and when to choose which.
- Dry Van
The standard 53-foot enclosed trailer. Temperature-ambient, 44,000 lb payload, 26 to 52 pallet positions. The right equipment for non-perishable freight that fits within the interior dimensions.

Insulated trailer with a diesel-powered refrigeration unit. Operates from −20°F to +70°F. Required for fresh and frozen food, cold-chain pharmaceutical, and any freight with a specified temperature range in transit.
